    This morning, I noticed a flock of American Robins feeding on red Holly berries. It has been very cold, and the snow from last week’s storm has not melted. The Robins feed on this tree every year. Some years the berries are gone by late fall.

  • Twelve-Years Ago Today. World Life #279. Riga, Latvia.

    Group of Rock Pigeons (Columba livia) observed while on a walking tour of Riga, Latvia. Semester at Sea, Spring 2013 Enrichment Voyage. I have seen and photographed Rock Pigeons before and after this, mainly in large cities/urban areas. Probably not native, but rather feral birds.
